John Grooms Court
is a well-established residential home in Sprowston Road, Norwich for up to 29 people with physical and intellectual disabilities. There are 27 flats (25 single) providing assisted independent living with communal facilities and activity programmes.
The Friends Group fund raise to provide extra facilities and help with these activities and outings.
The 19th century Charity John Grooms merged in 2007 with the Shaftesbury Society to form Livability but has this year reverted to the name Shaftesbury – all together better for disability.
The charity is nationwide with care, education and rehabilitation remits in many different centres.
