Oxfam
is a global movement of millions of people who share the belief that, in a world rich in resources, poverty isn't inevitable. In just 15 years, extreme poverty has been halved. 15 more years and we can end it for good.
Oxfam’s work empowers women, grows vegetables, fills classrooms and builds wells. The first charity shop appeared in Britain in 1948 when Oxfam opened a space in Oxford to sell donated items to raise money, and we have been selling donated goods, fair trade gifts and coffee ever since.
